Devlog #30 - L.N.D 2 art pack, new bundle and some stepbacks in development

Wow.
What a way to celebrate the 30th devlog.

First of all, hello again! This week was absolutely nuts and I'm gonna write everything that happened.

Second, let's check this week's progress!

As promised, all music tracks have been finished and 3 more background were completed. However I was not able to perform any additions to the writing or programming.

But that does not imply the week was without its surprises. I was busy throughout the whole week and have a lot to share with you today!

Tasks and obstacles

For starters, right after last devlog I was instructed to port the game Late Night Delivery to Android for an upcoming bundle at the time.
Since the game was done in TyranoBuilder, I took an evening to fully port the entire game to the Ren'py visual novel software, attempting to make it look as genuinely similar to the original as possible. That allowed me to port it to android with ease, along with its sequel Late Night Delivery 2: Pandemommyum getting an Android port as well.

On Tuesday, the next task was to write and code an interactive art pack detailing the development process of L.N.D.2, which I finished in time for the bundle that day.

Said bundle is available now, you can get Late Night Delivery 1 and 2 along with the interactive art pack here!

Computer problems

Wednesday through Friday I finished the music and backgrounds, and aimed to write more of the story during Friday night.
However, my computer crashed halfway through a drawing and refused to turn on.

After hours attempting to fix it, I moved onto my laptop to continue drawing throughout that night while pondering what to do to recover the project's game files.
I had a backup of the project but it was from last week so I was afraid I had lost a chunk of progress, along with my current computer.
However, this Saturday morning I finally managed to get it working.

After finally going to sleep and waking up to write this devlog, it refused to turn on again. I've opened it up again, cleaned more thoroughly and it's once again functioning.
Losing the computer entirely wouldn't affect the production other than speed as I've backed up the files again and would still be able to work on the game, as long as the laptop lasts long enough to replace the computer. Focus would lean more towards programming during that time, as my old laptop cannot handle things such as 3D to create backgrounds which are required for some CG artworks.

Conclusion

This week was non-stop work and stress, but while we didn't get some writing done a lot of new stuff came out! I hope to get some artworks done next week as well as writing more, but we'll see how far this unstable computer will take me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this once again! Things will start improving soon so do be looking forward do that.
Have a good one, see you next week!
